What’s so creepy about all those shoes washing up on Sanibel Island, FL?

It’s strange enough when dozens of shoes wash up on a beach in Sanibel, FL. But, when it’s discovered that the shoes still contain the feet that wore them, Agent Pendergast is called in to investigate.

This is my first Agent Pendergast novel. I’ve read and enjoyed the suspense of other Preston and Child novels, so decided to give this one a shot. I was not disappointed.  I originally picked up this book because it is set in SWFL and I have often driven around Sanibel’s beautiful, sandy beaches.

This is book 19 of the Agent Pendergast series and I”m tempted to read another one of them because Preston and Child write a good mystery.
