The Book Charmer by Karen Hawkins

Small town, big magic.

“Life is full of surprises and not all of them are good.”

~ Karen Hawkins. The Book Charmer

Sarah Dove, a is a young woman who had a tough childhood. She moves into Dove Pond, N.C., and becomes the town librarian. Her special relationship with books creates mystery and magic.

The Book Charmer has all the elements of a Hallmark movie, including literal and metaphorical magical characters. The story is sweet and even charming. The narrative is light and some characters border on cliché, however, the small town charm and warm, fuzzy, feeling the story leaves you with is perfect for fans of Debbie Macomber and Hallmark movie junkies.
